ALL FOOD SHOULD BE ORGANIC IF POSSIBLE
For your convenience, and at the request of many people, we have put in links to a few items that will take you to the online stores where we order many of the products we use.
We have found over the years - that these companies are helpful - reliable and easy to work with. That is why we recommend them to you as well as our friends and family.
We find it convenient to order many of the things we use -online- it's just so much easier to fit it into our schedule and the prices are comparable to the chain markets and sometimes lower. Take into consideration - you don't have to drive - park and shop. Gasoline prices are so high nowadays, you need to factor that into the prices of the things you buy too.
If you have an Organic Farmers Market in your area - it's definitely worth the trip. Locally grown produce, etc. is great - if you can get it!

~ SPICES LIST ~
Glenbrook Farms in Kentucky is where we order our bulk spices and herbs. They have a very large selection of spices - herbs and tinctures. They also offer handmade natural soaps and even natural products for horses.
I was visiting with a good friend a few days ago and we were talking about how hard it is to find healthy, non-treated seeds to plant a few things for a fresh garden.
Glenbrook Farms has found quite a few "Heirloom" seeds for a number of tasty vegetables and herbs.
Buying herbs, spices, etc. in bulk is so much more economical for us and will be for you too. One of those tiny little tins of ground cinnamon at the grocery is in the neighborhood of $4.00 - as of this writing, you can get 1 pound of Grade A Cinnamon with 3% oil for $8.39 - And no driving to the market! They do offer smaller quantities, by the way - you don't have to buy a pound.
They have a lovely site and today when I called with a question - The owner answered! - I was very pleasantly surprised.
(this is indeed a member of the nightshade family, but it is a close relative of Cayenne and has some of the same good properties - keep track - use with caution)
Sage
Thyme

If you decide to use the - Yes List for good healthy food - as your guide and it begins to work for you and your family and you notice a change for the better, this will be your LIST FOR LIFE !
Everyone has times when it's unavoidable to have things not on the list. Or temptation calls and you cheat. Usually the repercussions are unpleasant and you are happy to get right back on track.
If I tell my good friend , (the RN that researched and tested all the foods on these helpful lists), that I'm not feeling well, the very first thing she says is - "What have you been eating ?"
That's how important these lists are! We have her help and experiences of over thirty years to rely on. I for one, will be forever grateful to her for all her help and health information. We want everyone to experience the same GREAT RESULTS !
It's Very Important to Keep a Journal !
Please keep track of how you are doing. Get a Journal or Calendar and make short notes. In this way you will know whether or not a certain food or supplement is helping or not. Then, when you eat one thing or another, you can go back and have a look at how it affected you in the past. If you notice a negative reaction each time you eat a particular thing, you may decide to eliminate it forever.
After you begin the Healthy Living Plan - You can also look back and compare how you were feeling several weeks or months ago - before you started. That will give you a more comprehensive view and also give you a positive incentive to continue.
Some of our Favorite Cookbooks !
Below you will see some of our favorite Cookbooks -- of course some may have a few food items we don't recommend, but you can make easy substitutions example: Use blueberries or cherries rather than strawberries .
When cooking gluten-free and healthy, it's certainly much easier when someone else has done all the experimenting for you. And you won't become frustrated by your mistakes. From my experience - I had quite a few dismal failures, which, bless them, my family gamely ate and tried to find a few redeeming qualities they could comment on. Trust me, a few good cookbooks are worth their weight in gold !
Note: If you hover your arrow over a book you can see the info about it. You can click the forward and back arrows to spin the books around. When you click on a book, it will take you to Amazon. Just click your "back" arrow to return to this page.
